"Fall" into Salon TAO with a new look”
Trends are changing faster than the leaves on our trees! Fall 2011 is all about bold colors, textured hair from the classic bob, medium length, and long layered looks. The '50s and '60s were back, and now it is a flashback to the 70’s with bell bottoms, wide leg pants with the main two aesthetics of '70s bohemian, and '70s sophisticated glamour. For all the men out their skinny jeans this fall are not totally out, although you need to make room for a more relaxed style this fall in jackets, and trousers!

Look out fall 2011… Cool your color this season!
From washed out blondes, and faded brunettes spice it up with a fresh look!
Are you bored with the old summer ponytail?
Wear these new fall looks to work or out on the town when the sun goes down!
"The knot"

1. Spritz
the hair all over with Aquage sea-salt spray. (product found at Salon TAO)
2. Next, scrunch the hair into bunches while drying to add waves and texture.
3. Pull a thick section of hair out at the front, sweeping it into a deep side part
4. Take back two sections of hair and tie into a knot, then again into a double knot.
5. Finish with a light hairspray spray to keep frizz smooth!
Brigitte Bardot: a half up bouffant hairstyle.

1. Curl your hair enough to give it texture, separate out a circular section of hair
at the top of the crown. You can use a mirror to see the back of your head if creating the style on yourself.
2. Next, divide the section into smaller partings. These will be back-combed, starting
at the back so it’s easier to build up volume and height.
3. Hold the very back parting with medium tension and with a comb work the root area only.
Back-combing, if done right, shouldn’t cause too much damage to your hair and
shouldn’t knot. Tip: work the comb about an inch away from scalp, put comb in and
work in curved movements down to root area, take comb out of root area and repeat.

4. Follow the same back-combing process with each of the partings of hair.
5. Softly brush the very top layer of hair back, smoothing it over the back-combed section.
After all the back-combing is completed your hair should look something like this.
Don’t worry if it’s messy at this stage, only a few more steps until you have a
sixties Brigitte Bardot bouffant hairdo.

6. Work your bouffant shape into the desired height and roundness, then pull back
the hair and pin it in the center with bobby pins to hold it in place.

7. To add polish to your sixties Brigitte Bardot hairstyle bring two more smaller side s
ections of hair into the style. Pin the two side sections in place. Tip: lightly twist
each side into the center as you do this to help create balance and a smoother finish.
8. Spray the hair lightly all over with a firm hold hairspray to finish.
While this is
a modern take, you can make the style more extreme and more authentically
Brigitte Bardot by exaggerating the curls and the back combed texture even more.
