WARNING…we have Spring Fever and it is contagious!
“Spring in to Salon TAO” for the latest Women’s and Men’s Spring looks in hair, nails, and
fashion trends. Our focus this month is all about Men’s, March, Madness! Trends this month are not all about basketball Salon TAO celebrates March Styles, and Cut’s for our male clientele. Out with the new (2010) and in with the old! It’s true! The looks for 2011 are old hairstyles with a new twist. Hairstyles for men this spring fall into two categories: school boy and rocker. Looks from well groomed, textured, or the curly fringe look are all over the runways.

George Clooney brings the sexy slick look back!
How To Cut The Slick Back: If you're after the slick back look there's one important thing to first consider: is your hair wavy or straight. From there on in it's easy. Guys with straight hair: stick to a longer cut on top. Guys with wavy hair: go for short hair on top, perhaps a few inches in length depending on the strength of your wave.
Are you a guy needs some help on what to wear? No worries, the latest spring looks are showing leather motorcycle jackets, men’s flare jeans and suits full of color and texture! Have you ever wondered if you are wearing the right suit? Any color or pattern goes for this spring on any men’s suit striped, tweed, plaid, or checkered. How many buttons should you wear? What does it really matter why you have one, two or three buttons?
One Button
A single button suit currently falls into the realm of both a classic and a fashion suit; the single button has been a trend before now and will eventually go out again (it was notably out of fashion in the 1980s, but then most everything good was out of fashion back then anyway).
Two Buttons
Preference for a modern suit. It conveys height, slims the waist, and fits perfectly within the realm of fashion and classicism.
Three Buttons
Very much a look of the 1990's, thought it has been making a come back as a very fashion forwards option where the buttons are sewn on an angle. The more traditional, buttoned straight-up-and-down three-buttoned suit is still out there, three buttons convey a greater sense of height than a two button suit, but are harder to pull off. The trend is to dress them down opting to wear them over a quality cotton t-shirt from Ralph Lauren Purple Label then with a crisp shirt.

2011 Women’s spring looks!
70s sophistication by day
By day it's all about clean yet voluminous silhouettes, and earthy '70s colour palettes.
Look for:
• High waisted wide-leg pants or flares, smartly belted in.
• Neat bow-blouses, especially ones with billowing or bishop sleeves. Particularly great are fabrics like silk and satin.
• Roll neck sweaters tucked into pants or skirts. Add to the '70s effect by layering over beaded necklaces or a vest.
• For those more daring, a pair of hot pants are the ultimate '70s item.
• A smart printed jumpsuit is another great alternative.
70s sophistication by night
By night
The '70s sophisticate turns into the ultimate socialite, with look-at-me shimmering fabrics and cuts that either tightly hug or sensually drape over the body.
• Choose high sheen fabrics with a '70s disco-inspired edge, like lurex or silk;
anything with a metallic thread.
• Add a ruffled neckline under a brocade blazer or tuxedo jacket,
paired with a sharp pair of pants.
• Long, slinky gowns with draping, low necklines or dress slits are
the ultimate in '70s night time glamour.
