Wet dogs and hot dogs -- that was the all the excitement on the front lawn of Salon TAO Sept. 13. A dog-washing event was hosted by friends and family members, helping Salon TAO staff to raise money to donate to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley.
I hired my husband to work hard, by standing in front of a hot grill from noon to 3 p.m. to benefit a great cause. He grilled hot dogs, and mingled with our clients while their furry friends were being shampooed and conditioned.
Homemade peanut butter dog biscuits made by Salon TAO manicurist Tracy Eason were sold, and $10 was charged for each dog wash. The salon raised $525 to donate to the humane society.
Paige MacEwan, receptionist of Salon TAO said, "It was a great way to end our summer, everyone is still talking about our event and how excited we all are for our second annual dog day at Salon Tao."
